The Indian pacer, Ashish Nehra is set to come back again in the Indian team. The speculation is rife in news regarding that the 38-year pacer is returning back in the team. Recently the BCCI announced the squad for the upcoming 3 twenty 20 matches against Australia. The twenty 20 series between India and Australia is to kick off on 7th of October 2017.
The squad announced by the BCCI, include many players who were out of the team from a long time. One of them is Ashish Nehra. He is absences to the team from the 2017 IPL. He was injured while playing the match, therefore, he could not be a part of the upcoming tours after IPL. In his 19 years of career, many times he was out of the field due to his injuries. After a long time back, fortunately, he is well fit and have keen to return back to the team. In a statement, he said that he was keen to be in the team for next 2 upcoming years.
The Indian pacer said,“The only one thing that I’m not happy is my body, I can play for another couple of years but it isn’t easy for a fast bowler at 38-39, especially considering the state of my body. But I am just trying my level best.”
he said that his intention was to return back in the team, but he could due to injuries. he had believed that he would return back to the Indian team because he spent lots of time to get recover from injuries quickly.
He added more,” When you are youth that time you ignore these things, you don’t know the value to represent the Indian team at Internation level. I have missed out many cricket opportunities due to consecutive injuries to my body, therefore I am willing to catch the new opportunities.”
