West Indies get the place in Semi-Final

West Indies beaten South Africa in yesterday’s match by 3 wickets and sealed a berth in Semi-Final. So far, they are the first team from group 1 to make it. Now they have to beat Afghanistan to progress undefeated, which is set to be played on 27th March, 2016. They are in good form and looking confident with three successive wins, whereas Afghanistan will look to win this match or at least making it difficult for West Indies. They have proved their matle by setting up a record target  to chase by South Africa. Unfortunately luck was not on their side, better luck next time.

West Indies’s skipper won the toss and opted to bowl first. Anyone would have like to bat first, but bowlers backed up his decision by getting early wickets. South Africa’s unhappy moments started when in-form Hashim Amla was run-out in the first over. He was really disappointed and showed his unhappiness towars his opening partner Quinton de Kock indicating the single was never on.

Next Faf du Plessis went to pavilain, he was dismissed by A Russell. Even AB de Villiers didn’t contributed as per the expectation have from him. When he walked out,  fans were delighted. He scored only 10 runs off 12 balls. His departure came off DJ Bravo’s delivery.

Quinton de Kock  did as well as he could contributed 47 runs off 46 balls. Russell made him to join early departure. After that SA failed to gain any momentum throughout the inning.

Rabada tries to give some hope by dismissing destructive opener Gayle. Other partnerships of WI’s Batsmen look like They are not disappointed and went on to chase down the target of 123 with 2 balls to spare.
