The auction date for the KPL season 6th has been announced officially by the Karnataka State Cricket Association. The auction for players for the KPL is held on 6 August 2017. The Banguluru bulls made an official announcement to return in the Karnataka Premier League. In the 6th season, they will join this league with new ownership. The new owner of the team is Kalyani Motors, therefore, the setup a new name for this team. Th team for the team  Kalyani Blasters Bengaluru.

The Karanatake premier league is one of the best domestic levels T20 league in Karnataka. The main purpose of this league is to provide cricket opportunity at domestic levels. As well as to develop cricket talent and mold simple crickets to talented players.

In the upcoming season of the KPL, Mangalore United and Rockstars will not be able to take participate. Bijapur Bulls, Belagavi Panthers, Bellary Tuskers, Hubli Tigers, Mysuru Warriors and Namma Shivamogga have acquired the authority to play next five years in this league.
