Schedule of the Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB)and Playing Squad

The new season of Indian Premier League is about to kick off on 5th April 2017. The auctions were being held on 20th February brought some spectacular changes in the structure of teams. We saw 2 new teams entered the league Pune and Rajkot. But in this post, the focus will be on The Royal Challengers Bangalore details, such as How to watch IPL Royal Challengers Bangalore Live, Schedule and Playing Squad.

Virat Kohli, AB Devilliers, Chris Gayle. If you have these 3 giants of the game, what else you need ?? Yes, Royal Challengers Bangalore is having one of all time greats of the game in their squad. But the RCB has never been able to lift the coveted trophy of IPL. Why so? Because a team is built by 11 players and not 3 or 4 world class genius players. RCB in the past has given one of the greatest IPL performances but on very few occasions we have seen them flourishing as a ‘TEAM’. So what does RCB is expected to do differently this time ?? and are they going to be successful in doing that ?. The answer to it is, Yes they can.

A team who stood second last in the first edition came up to the finals in the 2nd season. This was largely because of the inspiring leadership of Anil Kumble. After that, they were on quite a roller coaster ride. Finalist twice since 2009, but never could raise their game to win the tournament. This time around they need to remember the words of Michael Jordan, “ Talent wins you games but intelligence and teamwork win you championships “

Captain: Virat Kohli

Coach: Daniel Vettori

City: Bengaluru

Owner: United Spirits

Founded:2008

Home ground: M. Chinnaswamy Stadium

IPL win: 0 time

This time they have a team with a different vibe. Virat Kohli is a different player now than what he was last year. He leads India in the test matches. Chris Gayle is more fit now and in a dangerous form as well. What can we say about AB Devilliers? He is probably the best batsman of all time, and he is in good shape as well. Mitchell Starc is also expected to be fit before IPL starts. With the addition of Shane Watson and Travis, Head RCB becomes more dangerous. Also when it comes to the Indian players they have a decent strength. Players like Kedar Jadhav, Stuart Binny can prove to be handy.

Now it’s up to the RCB players to perform as a team. Gayle storm can destroy any attack on any given day. AB Devilliers can kill a bowling attack if he is in that mood and our very own Virat Kohli is in the form of his life, nothing more to say about him. Starc, Watson, Iqbal Abdulla can handle the bowling well. The real challenge will be how RCB plays the domestic Indian Players. The support staff consisting  Danial Vettori, Allan Donald, Bharat Arun have to do a good job of maintaining the team spirit, the level of performance of all these talented players.

So all in all, if RCB plays to its true potential and could play as a team they will be a very hard team to beat. Here is the squad of RCB for IPL 10
