Twenty20 cricket is getting fame day by day due to its short format match between the two cricket teams. There are the couple of countries that have started their own cricket leagues and some do call foreign players participate. This is a form of cricket which is undoubtedly the most accomplished and supreme in every aspect is slowly heading towards a dreadful corner. 5.  England and Wales’s Friends Life T20

Previously known as the Friends Provident T20, this cricket league is the successor to the Twenty20 Cup as the premier domestic competition of England & Wales in the shortest format. It also replaced the Pro40 League, and hosted its first season in 2010. The league consists of eighteen county teams that play first-class cricket, divided into three divisions of six teams each. Former England players Chris Read, James Foster, Matthew Hoggard and Marcus Trescothick have led some of these teams.

The squads can have up to two overseas players – classified as ‘unqualified’ – along with T20 specialists from both England & Wales. Irish batsman Kevin O’Brien holds the record for the highest individual score in the league, while South African fast bowler Alfonso Thomas has taken the most wickets in a single season.

4. Caribbean’s Caribbean Premier League

Caribbean Premier League is the annual T20 league held by West Indies Cricket Board. This was established in the year 2013 and was able to gain popularity since then. Verus International and Limacol are the major sponsors of the tournament. The league has 6 teams in total namely Jamaica Tallawahs, Red Steel, Barbados Tridents, Guyana Amazon Warriors, St. Lucia Zouks, Antigua Hawksbills. The 2014 edition of the league was won by Barbados Tridents and they qualified for the CLT20.

3. England’s NatWest T20 Blast League:

The  England NatWest T20 Blast League consists of the 18 first class county teams divided into two divisions of nine teams each. This setup, which was first announced in November 2013, replaced the Friends Life t20 competition as the main domestic Twenty20 competition in England and Wales. Teams receive two points for a win and one point for a tie or if the match is abandoned. No points are awarded for a loss. Teams are ranked by total points, then net run rate. At the end of the group stage, the top four teams from each group enter the knockout stage.

2. Australia’s Big Bash T20 League :

Big Bash T20 League held each year in Australia . This league mostly consist of Australian players but recent years number of big T20 players from other countries joined it including (Shahid Afridi , Chris Gayle , and Lasith Malinga) all were seen in action in the Big Bash cricket league . The winning team of Big Bash cricket league earned ($450,000) as prize money.

The big bash currently replaced the previous one the KFC Twenty20 Big Bash. The league features only the city based franchises instead of state teams which had previously participated in this huge tournament. Top two teams in the Big Bash league will qualify to take part in the Champions league T20. Big Bash League is certainly one of the top 10 sports leagues in the world.

Currently, with eight teams, each team plays each other twice in a home-and-away round-robin tournament.[24] At the conclusion of the league stage, the top four teams qualify for the finals. The winner of the second preliminary round match will move onto the final where the winner will be crowned the Indian Premier League champions.
