The fourth edition of the Indian Super League is on the way. This league will be held over 5 months. In the fourth edition of the Indian Super League, total 10 teams are going to compete for the title of the ISL 2017 after including Jamshedpur FC and Bengaluru FC.
The player draft including 10 teams for the ISL is to take place on 23 July 2017 in Mumbai as per the announcement of Indian Super League. In the player draft for the ISL featuring 200 Indian players. As per the media news, the fourth edition of this league is to hold after 5 months. Then this league will be considered as one of the tops and excellent football competition along with I league in India.
As per the announcement of ISL, A squad must consist minimum 15 and maximum of 18 Indian players. In every squad 2 Under 21 players are strictly compulsory. Every franchise has given an authority that they can take two of the senior players from their 2016 team list.
Jamshedpur FC and Bengaluru FC are the newest teams in this league, therefore, they will have to bid in the first round. The 2016 Semi Finalist team, Delhi Dynamos decided that they will not retain any player. Chennaiyin F has maintained their U21 player Jerry Lalrinzuala in addition to two seniors. Only this club will be able to join the draft in the fourth round. Total 22 players have been retained by the 8 franchises.
