The fifth season of Pro Kabaddi league will be full of action and entertainment for Kabaddi fans from all over the world. Due to an official announcement regarding prize money that prize money for the fifth has been increased from 6 crore to 8 crore. The announcement regarding increment of Prize money is to take place in Hyderabad on 28 July 2017. The prize money for the last few seasons of this league was 6 crore.
The prize money for this league has been increased from 6 crores to 8 crores due to increment in the competitors for the title. As per the official announcement regarding this that 4 new teams will be participants for this league. Those 4 teams are going to represent Uttar Pradesh, Tamil Nadu, Haryana, and Gujarat. The first match of the PKL 2017 is between Telugu Titans and upcoming new team in this league Tamil Thalaivas on 28 July 2017 in Hyderabad.
Total 138 matches will be played between 12 teams. The winner of the fifth season of PKL will be rewarded to 3 Crores. While the runner up team of the title will get 1.8 Crores. Then the team who is on the 3rd place, they will be awarded Rs 1.2 Crores. The Most Valuable Player will get a prize of 15 lakh. In the previous season, Anup Kumar and Manjeet Chillar won the Most Valuable Player award.
