Virat Kohli missed out to complete century in the 2nd ODI against Australia

The 2nd ODI match between India and Australia is on 21 September 2017. Both teams are going to play their second match at the Eden Gardens in Kolkata. Currently, the match is going on, India won the toss and elected to bat first. In the first inning, they set up challenging target of 252-10 in 50 overs, against Australian teams. Virat Kohli missed out to complete century in the 2nd ODI against Australia

The Indian openers, Ajinkya Rahane and Rohit Sharma came to the pitch. The main strategy of both players is to give a well and balanced startup to the team. But they could not do as they planed. Indian team lost their first wicket in the form of Rohit Sharma. He scored 7 runs from 14 balls.

After that Virat Kohli came to bat, Both players Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma provide ed a good platform for the upcoming batsman. Later on, unfortunately, Rohit Sharma has to go to pavilion due to run out by Coulter-Nile.

The Indian captain, Virat Kohli, played smashing innings of 92 from 107 balls. In his inning, he posted totally 8 fours and with no sixes. All cricket fans are expecting that he will convert his inning to a match-winning century. But unfortunately, he could not convert his inning into a century.

The Australian, Right-handed faster bowler, Coulter-Nile sent Virat Kohli to the pavilion at the score of 197-5. After that, the top order batsmen and lower order batsmen collapsed very brutally.

The 1st ODI match hero MS Dhoni could score only 5 runs. Hardik Pandya, who played a match-winning innings in the first ODI match. But in second ODI match, he could score only 20 runs but he can not a big inning. Some lower batsmen, Bhuvneshwar Kumar posted 20 runs while Jasprit Bumrah scored 10 runs.

Thus in the second ODI match, Indian team gave a challenging target of 252 in 50 overs to the Australian.
