India’s shuttler Ajay Jayaram lost out in Russian Open on Saturday after getting hit out by straight-set defeat against Indonesia’s Tommy Sugiarto in the semi-final of the Grand Prix badminton event in Vladivostok, Russia on Saturday.
In the opening game, both players looked good but Sugiarto, however, proved to be better than Jayaram, as we won the first game by 21-17. But later in the third seed Jayaram suffered a 17-21, 7-21 defeat to top seed Sugiarto in a contest that lasted for about 33 minutes.
Meanwhile, men’s doubles pair of Manu Attri and B Sumeeth Reddy and the mixed doubles duo of Akshay Dewalkar and Prajakta Sawant also lost their respective matches in the Grand Prix badminton event in Vladivostok, Russia.
After Ajay jayaram lost to Sugiarto, the Indian challenge in the tournament came to an end as all other to made their return by getting successive defeats. Still it was a very good journey for Jayram as he did his best to reach out to the semi-finals and make a pride for himself.
