Mutua Madrid Open 2016 Prize Money ( €4,771,360 )

The Mutua Madrid Open 2016, currently sponsored by Mutua Madrileña, is a male and female professional tennis tournament, currently held in Madrid, Spain, during the first week of May. The event is classified as an ATP World Tour Masters 1000 event on the Association of Tennis Professionals tour and a Premier Mandatory event on the Women’s Tennis Association tour. In the past it has also been known as the Mutua Madrileña Madrid Open and before that the Madrid Masters. There been some revision in the prize money this year.

There has been an update in the Prize money of the Mutua Madrid Open 2016. Thus we would be telling you about that changes in the Prize money. As of 2015 i.e. Last year the Prize money of the tournament was €4,185,405 both for Men’s and Women’s category. As per the revision in the Prize Money, the Prize money has been updated to a lesser amount this year.

Last year i.e. in 2015  UK’s Andy Murray def. Spain’s Rafael Nadal thus becoming the winner of 2015 edition in Men’s Singles. Wheareas in Women’s singles Czech Republic’s  Petra Kvitová def. Russia’s Svetlana Kuznetsova to clich a straight set win.

This year the Total Financial Commitment for the tournament is around €5,719,660, which is truly a huge amount. On May 1, tournament organizers staged a successful Guinness World Record. 1,474 people—including spectators, players, and tournament officials—bounced tennis balls on racquets simultaneously for ten seconds. This broke the previous record of 767 people set at the 2015 China Open.
