WATCH: Pakistan’s Rashid Naseem scripts history with 150 Guinness World Records

Published on

Pakistan’s Rashid Naseem on Wednesday added another feather to his cap, becoming the first Pakistani to register 150 Guinness World Records (GWR).

According to (GWR) website, the athlete has achieved the feat by breaking England’s Josh Leaya’s record for punching while holding a 1-kg weight.

The Karachi-born athlete surpassed the record with 340 punches with full extension on target in a minute’s time.

Besides this, Rashid has also made two more Guinness World Records.

The other records include throwing an egg in the air, cracking a walnut, and catching the egg without breaking it.

He broke 80 walnuts in 1 minute, surpassing the German master’s record of 72 walnuts.

Additionally, he also set a new record by repeatedly tossing a non-chocolate ball into the air and catching it with the opposite hand, achieving the feat 36 times — double the Guinness World Records target of 18.

For those unaware, Rashid made history by setting 25 world records in a single year, cementing his status as one of the most prolific record holders.

Who is Rashid Naseem?

He is Pakistan’s most decorated martial artist with the most individual world records, having broken the benchmarks previously held by athletes from England, China, Italy, Iran, Egypt, Germany, Serbia, and Switzerland.

Having already represented Pakistan in countries like Italy, Germany, Spain, Korea, China, Singapore, and now Romania, Rashid Naseem continues to wave the national flag high, without any government backing.
