The first match of the ODI series will be played on Sunday, 11 January at Kotambi Stadium, Vadodara, followed by the second and third fixtures on 14 and 18 Jan in Rajkot and Indore, respectively.

For those unaware, both Arshdeep Singh and Virat Kohli are heading into the series on the back of a rich vein of form after featuring in the Vijay Hazare Trophy 2025-26.

Virat Kohli, who represented Delhi, amassed 208 runs in two innings at an average of 104 and a strike rate of 128.39, with the help of a century and a half-century.

Meanwhile, Arshdeep Singh took seven wickets in two matches, with best figures of 5/34 while playing for Punjab against Sikkim.

A strong showing in the New Zealand series could also move Kohli to the top spot in the ICC ODI batting rankings.

The right-hander has already earned the Player of the Series award for outstanding performance against South Africa, where he notched up 302 runs in three games at a staggering average of 151, which included two centuries and a fifty.
