Son of Pakistan’s former captain Misbah ul Haq, Faham ul Haq, has scored his maiden first-class century against Peshawar while playing for Faisalabad on Friday in the Quaid-e-Azam Trophy.

The fifth round of the 2025/26 Quaid-e-Azam Trophy kicked off yesterday, on October 30. Peshawar were put in to bat by Faisalabad after winning the toss at Shoaib Akhtar Cricket Stadium in Rawalpindi.

Khurram Shahzad and Jahandad Khan’s fiery spell sparked a dramatic collapse, as Peshawar slipped to 29 for 4. Pakistan-capped Mohammad Haris and Iftikhar Ahmed revived the innings.

The pair contributed a partnership of 199, with Iftikhar scoring 131 and Haris 88. The total was stretched to 320 by No.8 Niaz Khan, adding an important 34 runs.

In response, Faisalabad openers Hasan Raza and Faham-ul-Haq provided a modest start of 66.

Mohammad Amir Khan broke the partnership by removing Raza on 40 runs.

Wickets continued to tumble at one end, but it was 19-year-old Faham who held his nerves and kept scoring from the other end.

It took him 120 balls to reach his third first-class half-century, before putting his foot on the accelerator to reach his maiden first-class ton on the 222nd ball of his innings. Faham was not out on 137 at the stumps on the 2nd day of the match. Faisalabad are 309/7 and currently trailing by 11 runs.

Faham ul Haq scored his maiden half-century against Sialkot, scoring 51 off 174 balls in that inning earlier this month. And followed it up with 78 off 151 balls against Federally Administered Tribal Areas (FATA).
