Rubin Hermann Career
The left-handed batter born in a Pretoria-based cricket-loving family has steadily built his reputation in South African domestic cricket. His younger brother, Jordan Hermann, is also a first-class cricketer.
The 29-year-old made his debut against Pakistan in Faisalabad on November 8 2025. However, he only managed to score one run.
His T20I debut came earlier in the year against Zimbabwe at Harare, where he impressed with 45 from 37 balls with the help of five fours and a six.
Rubin Hermann was also part of South Africa’s T20I squad for the recent series against the West Indies ahead of the T20 World Cup 2026. However, he did not make the final 16-member squad.
Overall, he has played 65 T20s, amassing 1497 runs at an average of 31.18 at a strike rate of 127.83. He also has one century in the format, with a highest score of 102.

What Ruben Hermann Brings to Lahore Qalandars Squad?
Lahore Qalandars have added depth and versatility to their squad by signing Rubin Hermann as a wicket-keeper. The 29-year-old left-hander is expected to slot into the middle-order, offering balance through a combination of reliable glovework and controlled aggression with the bat.
Notably, Hermann has hit 47 sixes in his 65-match T20 career, translating to a six-hitting ratio of 0.72 per match. While he may not be an explosive power hitter, his numbers reflect a batter who relies on timing, placement, and smart short selection rather than brute force.
A fluent timer of the ball, Hermann could play the role of a stabilizer in the batting lineup that has shown inconsistency over the past years.
The eight-team PSL 11 is set to commence on March 26 across five cities in Pakistan.
